Howl-O-Ween Dog - Costume Contest

The City of Doral has held this great event for several years now and it is one of the funnest event in South Florida. The dog costume contest is held at the Trails and Tails Park.

Please remember to bring water for your dog. It has been hotter than normal in South Florida.

K9 Water Festivals​

The K9 Water Festivals returns to T.Y. Park's Castaway Island​​ on weekends October 12 and 13 and 19 and 20, 2024, from 9AM to 5PM.

The fee is $5/dog per 50-minute splash session. There will be a designated small-dog area (25 pounds and under) for all sessions.

There are some rules we need to follow at the events:

• ​All dogs must be off leash when inside the playgrounds

• Dogs must be sociable and well behaved

• Dogs must have proof of current rabies vaccination and a County license tag

• Water playgrounds will be closed to humans and open only for dogs (and lifeguards). ​Following regulations from the Department of Health​, they stipulate that we do not allow humans in the water with the dogs. We also keep chlorine levels low since many dogs are sensitive to it.

• All dogs are limited to two sessions per day

• Sessions will begin on the hour

BARKTOBERFEST at Quiet Waters Park

It's the event your pooch has been waiting for all year -- Barktoberfest! This year's activities include 50-minute splash time sessions, doggie market place, adoptions, and rescue and nonprofit group displays. Water park sessions begin on the hour and all dogs are limited to two sessions per day. The first session of the day, from 8-8:50AM, will be for small dogs only. All sizes of dogs can jump in for the remainder of the splash time -- 9AM-3:50PM. You'll need to accompany your pooch but you won't be allowed in the water. Dogs must have proof of current rabies vaccination with documentation showing the expiration date or administered dates, and a County license tag. Dogs must be sociable and well behaved. All dogs must be off leash when inside the playground. This event is cosponsored by the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Fees: $6.50/dog per 50-minute session or $5/dog for current dog park pass holders. The park's regular weekend gate fee of $3/vehicle (with 8 or fewer passengers) will be in effect. PH: 954-357-5100

The family-friendly pet adoption pets-travaganza helps pet lovers connect, fall in love with and adopt one or more 800 shelter dogs and cats waiting for loving homes. All pets adopted are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Special pricing will be offered at the adoption event:

• Dogs 4 months and older: Adoption fees waived. Adopters will only be responsible for the $30 tag fee

• Puppies younger than 4 months: $85

• Kittens younger than 4 months: $35

• Cats 4 months and older: Adoption fees waived

The festival will include music and entertainment co-sponsored by Dimelo 305, as well as performances by local talent and a variety of different vendors, games and activities for all ages alike:

• Food trucks will be onsite, offering a selection of street food

• Free kids zone with games

• Free giveaways for adopters (while supplies last)
